The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and the Photographers Society of Southern California present “The 19th Photographers Society of Southern California Exhibition: Riches of the land ‘Through the Lens’” on view from Dec. 11-26 in the Korean Cultural Center Art Gallery, 5505 Wilshire Blvd.
This year’s exhibition showcases 40 works by 11 artists, featuring striking images of natural landscapes across the globe, diverse cultural and everyday moments and notable scenes of Korea’s traditional heritage. Through distinct perspectives and artistic vision, the participating photographers capture the beauty of nature, resilience of life and fleeting moments often overlooked in daily experience.
Founded in 2005, the nonprofit Photographers Society of Southern California has played an active role in promoting cultural exchange between the Korean-American community and the U.S. public. The society supports the advancement of photographic arts through annual exhibitions, workshops and educational programs.
Participating artists in the 2025 exhibition include Alex Kim, Helen Shin, Jin Park, Kathy Lee, Jinsun Kim, Bugweon Ju, Heebin Im, Joanne Kim, Jesoung Kyoung, Jina Rucker and Haesook Min.
“Photography is an art that allows us to rediscover beauty and depth that often go unnoticed,” KCCLA Director Haedon Lee said. “We hope this exhibition provides visitors with a meaningful opportunity to explore rich narratives of nature and humanity, and to reflect on the precious moments found in everyday life.”
“We are delighted to showcase the scenes and moments our members have captured throughout the year,” Photographers Society of Southern California Alex S. Kim added. “We look forward to sharing with visitors the emotional resonance and unique power of photography.”
The exhibition is free and open to the public. KCCLA is located at 5505 Wilshire Blvd. For information, call (323)936-3014, or visit kccla.org.
