I subscribe to the L.A. Times and the N.Y. Times and read the sports sections first, then the comics and obituaries, and all the local, national, international and political news.

But it’s the throwaway Beverly Press for which I hurry out to the driveway to retrieve every Thursday to read your column. You brighten my day. I guess I am an outlier too.
