The Museum of Tolerance is hosting a special screening of “Child of Dust” on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. The film explores the generational effects of war as it follows Sang, one of many children fathered by American soldiers who left their children behind in Vietnam. Forced to grow up without his father, Sang chooses to risk everything for a chance to meet the gravely ill man and find a sense of belonging. A Q&A session with director Weronika Mliczewska, producer Bao Nguyen and protagonist Sang Ngô Thanh, moderated by Academy Award-nominated director Jessica Kingdon, follows the film. Admission is free; RSVP required. 9786 W Pico Blvd. museumoftolerance.com.
